From Yale to ESDlife: My Journey Begins in Hong Kong

After graduating from Yale University with a degree in Computer Science and Design and internships in management, marketing, and consulting, I wanted a dynamic job that could utilize my all-rounded abilities and help me develop more. Therefore, ESDlife’s MT Programme, with rotations across all business units, made me decide to move from the U.S. to Hong Kong to start my career at ESDlife.

Relocating while starting my first job out of college is no small transition, but my caring new colleagues at ESDlife are a great help to me to adapt. I enjoy frequent community service activities like fundraising, bonding events like bowling and massages, training seminars like about regulations on AI and conferences with the CK Hutchison Group, where I can make new friends and understand Hong Kong better.

Right after my onboarding, during my first rotation in the Media team, I had the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and have meetings with the IT, Business Analytics, Content, and Product teams. To my surprise, my mentors are willing to consider and accept my ideas, even though I am only a fresh graduate. They even invite me to executive meetings to present my findings and participate in discussion. In just two months, I have learned so much about cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and efficient discussion.

I am truly grateful that I can be a part of the ESDlife family.
